CCFA News 2010

For the past 5 years members of the CCFA have regularly attended the Coffs Harbour Car Market at the Showground with their BBQ.
The BBQ is the regular public face of Freemasonry in District 53.
Proceeds from the BBQ at the Showgrounds and other functions is the primary fund raising activity for the CCFA.
It is also an ideal place to showcase Masons at work in the community. Men who are interested in Freemasonry
are able to speak to Masons and several new members have been gained through the BBQ.

"One Step Closer"

The spirit of community is alive and well in Woolgoolga.
Last week Woolgoolga Lions president, Gavin Kent handed over a cheque for $1000 to Norm Standing,
Chairman of the Coffs Coast Freemasons who are raising $100,000 to create
the Coffs Coast and Clarence CanDo! Cancer Trust. “The people of Woolgoolga have supported
all our fund raising events and this donation from the Lions is just another example of the wonderful
generosity of this town. We are on the long, last mile of our campaign and are very grateful for any
donations to help us reach our goal,” said Norm. The campaign will culminate with the revival of an elegant tradition,
a Grand Charity Debutante Ball on 26th June where the Grand Master of NSW and the ACT,
Dr Greg Levenston will present $100,000 Cheque to Julie Jardine president of
